SLOW DOWN DECEMBER!

You know when your little and it seems like December is the longest month of the year. You count down every day, just getting a little bit closer to Christmas. Well, those days are long gone for me. I feel like every December is such a mad rush, with no time to get everything done. This year has been even more crazy! Getting ready to move, having a Lacey who is attached to the hip and still working a couple of day's each week.
To add to all that Justin and I were invited on a manager 's trip his company has every year. This meant 4 days of just the 2 of us. I was really excited to go but as the trip got closer I was sick to my stomach about leaving the kids. I don't think I ate in the 24 hrs before we left. But thanks to my in-laws, Laura, and Mary my kids were well taken care of.
This year's trip was in Vegas and we stayed at Cesar's Palace. The room was great, and it was so nice to have the Forum shops in our hotel. We stayed up late, made donations to the casino, slept in, ate lots of good food, and we saw the show Jersey Boy's which was awesome. We even bought the soundtrack. On our last night his company hosted a banquet. They served a really good dinner then brought in a hypnotist, which I end up participating in. I'm told, he made it so I couldn't say my name and if I tried I stuttered, and I ended up shaking my booty for the whole audience. Which included all the store managers their wives, the higher ups in corporate and the 2 owners of the company Yea! One comment was I only needed a pole. (I'm so proud!) I met more people after the show than I had the whole trip. Hmm, I wonder why. All in all it was a great time, can't wait till next year.
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!

It's no party without Karaoke!

Anyone who has been to our house knows you have to take a turn and sing. That is, if Justin will share the stage. So the Friday after Thanksgiving Garret, Julie and Justin's friend of 31 years Chris and his family(who were in town visiting his parents) came over for pizza and Karaoke. Usually we're all taking turns as adults, but this year all the kids wanted turns. Don't be jealous ladies. He's all mine!

Thanksgiving!

The kids table
Thanksgiving weekend was great! Not being pregnant and sick this year made the food taste a whole lot better. We had 8 adults and 5 kids but enough food to feed over 30. I think my obsession with the amount of food comes from growing up having huge Thanksgivings. There was always a ham and turkey, every pie option you could think of, and many other desserts. So now even with our small group we had both meats, 8 side items, and 7 desserts. Almost a whole dessert for all the adults, just the way I like it.

Sydney and Lacey are really starting to like each other. They held hands all through dinner.

Cousins

Kennedy just loves her older cousin!
Brock feels the same, but sometimes plays too cool.

Let's play catch up!

I know it's practically Thanksgiving but I just got my blog up and running so I thought I'd fill you in on whats been going on.

In August my mom, dad, and Whit came out for Lacey's blessing. She looked so sweet in her little dress. Our church starts at 8:30(yes we're late every week) so we had all our friends and family over afterward for breakfast. My friend Mary came prepared with her camera and a white backdrop. The pictures turned out so cute, Mary's turning into quite the pro.

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year. Brock wanted to be something scary for the first time. This picture is from the trunk or treat at our church. Brock and his buddy Jacob enjoyed handing out the candy.

This is one chubby ladybug!

Mary did a Halloween photo shoot with both her and my kids. She has 2 girls around Brock's age that dressed up as princesses. The whole time we were doing pictures he was chasing them. If he stopped they'd egg him on by saying "I bet you can't catch me" so off he'd go again. I even heard one of the girls say "I bet you can't carry me" so he did. They had him wrapped around their little fingers. Oh! it starts so young.

Best day this year!

Yea! I finally started a blog! and what a better way to start it than to show our best day this year! Finally on June 4th after 3 years and nine months of prayers, Dr's, and a lot of faith Lacey Ann joined our family. She is such a joy! I already want another one. If that surprises you I promise, it surprises me even more. I don't know if it's because I'm older or because she sleeps through the night, I just know I want one or two more. Don't tell Justin!
